Villa La Joya, set in beautiful scenery just off the Riviera Mayan beaten path, was the perfect location for New Yorkers Julia and Simon to celebrate their luxurious, yet intimate destination wedding. Their special day was attended by close friends and family which established a wonderful close knit and romantic ambience. For Julia, an outdoor enthusiast, this was the dream – marrying her best friend in the fresh air, just a few feet away from the Caribbean ocean.

Elegance and class are the first words that come to mind when describing the style of this particular destination wedding to you. With Julia wearing a breath-taking bridal gown from Calle Blanche and Simon dressed in a dark blue suit, with a crisp white shirt, this couple definitely had serious style. Along with the décor, and colours of blush, ivory and green the ensemble came together perfectly, oozing luxury.

The day was certainly one full of laughter and fun. This was without a doubt encouraged by the highly entertaining MC that the couple flew down from New York. He not only kept the party alive but enabled the wedding photographer, Amber Kelly to capture beautiful candid moments throughout the day. The couple choose Amber as their wedding photographer due to the high quality of her portfolio and elegancy in her work.

The reception ended with all guests jumping into the Villa’s private pool. Not only was this huge highlight of the day but it just shows how much fun was had and how the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
